Complete Workflow for Manage Global Search Odoo App
Go to the Global Search bar in Odoo to quickly access and search data across multiple modules from a single place. Users can type keywords to instantly find records, menus, and even One2many related data without navigating manually. The system supports multi-company search, allowing easy access to data across different companies. Results are displayed in a categorized and user-friendly format, and clicking any result redirects directly to the record. Configurable options like minimum characters and popup view ensure fast, secure, and efficient searching.
1.Select a model and fields for which you want to search and view records.
2.You can also select fields for searching in One2many fields, which fetch data from related models.
3.Enable the Multi Company Option.
4.Search results for user 'Harsh' showing filtered Sales Orders across multiple companies.
5.Configuring Global Search to trigger results with a 1-character minimum, allowing instant lookup by typing just 'H'.
6.Enable the Record Want To Open As Popup Option.
7.Now the Record opens as a Popup.
8.Enable the Menu Search Option.
9.Quick Navigation: With 'Enable Menu Search' active, users can find and jump to specific settings or modules directly from the global search bar.
